Charlie Crane, based in Paris, offers a carefully edited collection of furniture for babies and children. Founded in 2013, the ambition is to create beautiful designer furniture that breathes adult design into the world of the child.

In our modern interiors, the boundaries between rooms are becoming blurred. With Charlie Crane creations, parents are proud to display their children's furniture throughout their home. The baby lounger blends in with the decor in the living room; the high-chair harmonises with the table and chairs in the dining room, and the crib becomes a work of art! 

Charlie Crane favours noble and natural materials such as bentwood which permits the sculpting of complex shapes and gives objects roundness. A soft feel, ideal for children. This technique also has the advantage of being much more precise than assembling individual pieces of wood, which makes it possible to manufacture excellent quality pieces at an affordable price. We should also mention metal, especially tubing, which again makes it possible to fashion complex and rounded shapes.

Charlie Crane has a truly editorial approach. We work first and foremost with designers. This new French generation values the tradition of technical excellence - especially that of the French pioneers of the 1950s (Prouvé, Perriand, Hitier...) - allied with an openness to many foreign influences. In particular, the Scandinavian design of the 1950s and 1960s and the recent Vegetal Design.

The first Charlie Crane products - the LEVO recliner (featured photograph) and the NOGA changing table - were created by two designers trained at the Boule School: Erick Demeyer and Steven Leprizé who came together at the ARCA Agency. The TIBU chair was created by the design duo Gaspard Tiné-Berès and Tristan Kopp from the Re-Do studio. The MUKA bed is by the one-and-only Gaspard Tiné-Berès, and the BAKI desk is by Erick Demeyer.
