The result of an eight-year journey, Daniel Rybakken’s Petit Standard is a study in precision and considered details.
With the objective of creating a highly stackable chair, where the stackable features would actually enhance the chair’s design, Petit Standard fuses elegance and functionality in an iconic design.
Using die-cast aluminium and steel tubes that connect into a three-dimensional triangle, the lightweight frame has a distinctively geometric silhouette, which is counterbalanced by the warmth and natural quality of the oak-veneer seat and backrest.
The high back and curved seat ensure great comfort, while the rigid tubing optimises the chair’s strength and stacking ability, making it ideal for corporate environments, educational institutions, and private settings.
MATERIAL
SEAT & BACK / Moulded plywood seat and back with inner veneer in beech, top and bottom veneer in oak.
BASE / Ø18 mm powder coated steel tube with die-cast aluminum connectors.
CONSTRUCTION
FRAME / Ø18 mm steel tube frame connected with 6 die-cast aluminium joints. Seat and back in moulded plywood mounted with black screws. Stacking units in black TPE plastic are mounted on the frame.
GLIDERS
PLASTIC GLIDER / Standard on all variants. Suitable for most floorings that are not too sensitive.
FELT GLIDER / Protective gliders for wooden floors.
Sold seperately and should be mounted by the customer.
