MONTESSORI INTERIOR DESIGN FOR CHILDREN

The Montessori method is based on an environment designed from the baby's perspective baby's and child's perspective and the child, more comfortable, more accessible and allowing him to move freely in his personal space.

  • The bed is one of the main elements of the children's room. The rooms decorated according to the Montessori method forget the cribs or beds with bars that make children totally dependent on the adult when they want to move. That is why they propose beds at ground level so that the child can lie down and get up without needing anyone's help.
  • The colors of a Montessori room must be warm, to promote tranquility and harmony in that space in which the child will spend many hours. This use of color will be reflected in a better quality of sleep for the baby or child.
  • The furniture in a room with Montessori decoration should have a size adapted to the baby or child. The idea is that the child has all his things at his fingertips and can dispose of them as needed.
  • The floor is especially important in a Montessori room, which should be as warm as possible and free of objects so that the child can walk barefoot as long as he wants
  • Toys should be within children's reach, without them needing to ask mom or dad for one toy or another. Personal experimentation is the key to the child's physical and intellectual development, and that is why we should not put obstacles in the way of their curiosity
  • The Montessori method recommends placing plates and mirrors on the walls of the child's room, but at a suitable height so that the child can observe them and observe himself. It has been proven that several sheets around the room stimulate children's creativity as well as their observation skills.
