what is String shelving?

The String was designed in 1949 by the Swedish architect and designer Nisse Strinning, and it is a modular system in which you can build yourself the shelf you have in mind, through the metal side panels and the shelves that are inserted into them.

You can create custom-made shelves for any space in your home. And with their characteristic Nordic and minimalist style, they are ideal for decorating children's rooms and all kinds of rooms. It seems strange that something as simple as this small, slim bookcase with side panels has become one of the icons of 1920s design.
